Felting Needles Specialised needles that have barbs or rough bits, that when poked into wool fibres, helps to mat them together and, eventually make the fibres mesh into felt. The needles can be used on their own for smaller items to felt or to add detail. More than one needle can be used in a handle to felt larger pieces of work.
Fingers What I would like to still have at the end of this project.
Fleece The stuff shorn from the sheep. It’s woolly coat.
GSOH (Good Sense of Humour) Be able to laugh with yourself and at your felting faux pas, and learn from them.
Handle I thought this was what you put more than one felting needle into to felt large areas, but I also see it’s a term used to gauge the feel of fibre or cloth.
Micron I know this one, it’s a form of measurement – only ’cause I can laminate things and the sheets come in thickness or should I say thinness of a micron – Oops, I also see that it’s another measurement for grading wool. The smaller the micron the finer the wool. (Micron = 1/25,000 of an inch)
Patience Something to learn and would like to still have by the end of this project.
