Christmas Cards

Well, I thought I would try and put some of my buttons to good use with my needle felting discoveries. So here’s what I’ve come up with so far. I think these will be toppers for this years Christmas cards. Only thing is I’ve got a lot more to make. I wonder if starting now is soon enough !

When did you last see a paper doily ?

I found this post today on Project Wedding, and I would like to share it with you.

The humble paper doily is revamped, and it had me thinking to when I last saw a doily ?

When I was little the doily was always on the plate, below the scrumtious cakes on my Gran’s Sunday Lunch table or crowned with delights at the bakery round the corner, now alas I am at a loss as to when I did not see one in a hobby or craft store.

Never the less, I love the simple idea of delicate paper doilies made into the garland, it just looks so romantic, and easy to make to boot !
